Indeed!Is that the "toaster tank"?
That is a nice bike, I very nearly bought one years ago with a huge aluminium tank, One of the appeals is that you can do a lot regular servicing, I know someone with a Gold Wing and all work has to be done at the main dealers every 4000 miles and £300 a time.First in a line of boxer twins that started with an R75/5 like this one ...

I am not particularly skilled mechanically but a college friend who raced Guzzi's taught me how to adjust the valves myself which I appreciated. On the other hand when the R100s blew its pushrod seals and puked oil everywhere I let the dealer replace thoseOne of the appeals is that you can do a lot regular servicing,

I had an R100s in that colour, Smoke Red I think it was called. Great bike. This not my bike, but I had one the same color from the mid 1980's. Having a history of Harleys and Kawaski's, this bike was the most wonderful bike I ever owned and it had 65K when I bought it.
Mine had a Corbin seat with red piping. Love "Airheads". View attachment 108412
My one and only ”real bike” was a BMW twin 500, but I don’t remember the model number. I bought it new in 1971.First in a line of boxer twins that started with an R75/5 like this one ...

That might have been an R50/5 Bryan and could have looked like thisMy one and only ”real bike” was a BMW twin 500, but I don’t remember the model number. I bought it new in 1971.
Could well be. I have a photo somewhere, I think; you know the kind with a negative and in black and white. That might have been an R50/5 Bryan and could have looked like this
The little grey cells, however, have become a bit rusty over the last 50 years.
