The razor, finally, arrived, tonight and I had to use it for my head shave.
It was much more aggressive than the RazorRock Mamba I usually use for my nightly head shaves, but it was quite smooth considering its heavier weight compared to the Mamba's (I use a titanium handle with the latter, so it is fairly light in weight).
The razor is very well machined, it looks great, it has quite a bit of heft to it, and the pattern on the handle feels and looks extremely nice.
The only detraction that some folks might encounter is the extension of the blade at the ends of the razor head. It wasn't an issue for me, but I can see it being one for others as the protrusion is, relative to most modern DE razors, significant.

The photos that you see are of the C plate with the 3.5" handle.

Here are some photos I took, this evening, but, please, excuse the lighting as it isn't very good in the downstairs bathroom.

I used plate D, this morning, and it was a better shave as it is a bit more efficient than the C plate. However, I wouldn't characterize it as aggressive even though it has a .98mm blade gap. It is efficient, but for some reason, I am not getting on with the razor. I have been modifying the angles with the razor during my shaves/passes and, at times and in certain areas, it is neither as smooth or efficient as I would like, unfortunately, and I am getting more irritation than I would ever get from my Blackbird or Weber DLC.

I'll try it a few more days to see if I decide to keep it as it really is a very lovely made razor, especially, the handle.
Furthermore, keep in mind that this is a subjective view from one individual and others may have varying opinions.

David, it is funny how we keep adding razors and still keep going back to the Weber.

I have been using mine for the past couple of days. For me the d plate is fantastic. Easily compared to the Charcoal Goods level 2 plate and the Timeless .95 gap plate. In fact maybe better as the Voskhod Teflon blade works great. Smooth and close with zero irritation.
Thanks for the comparisons to other razors. I don't suppose you have used any ATT razors? If so how does the D plate compare to say the R plates?

I'm looking at buying one but not sure on which plate to go for.

Cheers
Rob

The only ATT I used was the H plate which is very aggressive. The D plate is below that which creates a very close and comfortable shave for me. Compares to the Charcoal Goods level 2 and Timeless .95 gap plate.

An update:

After shaving with this razor for a few days, now, I am starting to like the razor. It is very smooth and quite efficient.
I still have to adjust my technique/angle in certain areas of my neck and jawline, but the shaves have definitely improved since the first use.
I hope to continue to use this razor and keep it in my collection as I find it to be extremely well machined and it looks beautiful, especially, the handle. :)

Nice to hear, still waiting for the grey customs card
I'll be interested to hear how you get on with yours. I know we both shared the same feelings on the Guerrila.
Which base plate have you gone with?

Ideally I'd like the smoothness of the Guerrilla but the efficiently of a Fatip.
