So I never about the Karve razor while it was in the testing phase, I wasn't one of the testers but I was one of the first to get the razor. I'll just paste a review I wrote 2 weeks ago on another page.
The razor is a multi plate razor allowing you to adjust the blade gap. It's not like the Rockwell 6S or 6C it's more like the Above The Tie style razor where you need a completely different plate. The smallest blade gap is 0.47mm which is the AA and the largest is 0.98mm which is the D. I chose the B plate which is 0.73mm and I'll get into how it shaves below. The blade gaps are located on the site link above.
The razor also has 3 handle length options. 3", 3.5" and 4" I went with the 3.5" as that is my preferred length even with my massive hands.
The razor is also very affordable. The 3" is $99 Canadian the 3.5" is $104 and the 4" is $109. Each additional base plate is $30 plus shipping. Which puts it as one of the cheapest machined razors on the market right now.
The razor head uses pegs to secure the blade and I found that it holds the blade in really well, no alignment issues or blade wiggle from what I saw with my razor.
For people that are picky about blade overhang on the sides there is some on this razor and the way the top cap is designed you'll see a lot of the blade.
Now for the shave. I don't like very aggressive razors with a ton of blade feel. I'll take very mild but efficient or if it's very aggressive the blade feel is minimal as my skin can light up easily. The plate I picked I found it very efficient, with a bit of blade feel to let me know that the blade was there. The end result was a very good shave even in my trouble spots, no redness on my skin and in tighter areas like under the nose I had no issues getting the hair.
For me this is a razor I could see myself using a lot cause of the weight, feel, shave quality, and it's made in Canada. I'll use it a lot more after I finish up my 30 straights in 30 days or if i take a quick pause from that.
