I’ve got just the C plate, really happy with it.Aluminium - got the daily shavers kit and an OC-C
I agree - it's perfectionI’ve got just the C plate, really happy with it.
Very impressed by the anodising, the best I’ve seen on a aluminium razor, it’s flawless
The indentations make it easier to get your fingers on the blade tabs which in turn makes it very simple to unload the blade from the razor head. I also find it aesthetically pleasing. What is the purpose of the notches in the baseplates and original top cap? (This may prove to be a dumb question, but I gotta know know.)
I can see the purpose of having the indentations on the original top cap as I have the wide cap and when I take the razor apart the blade is always jammed close to the surface ... the indentations would make removal easier. The indentations on the baseplate don't make sense to me though as the blade is loaded onto the post of the top cap and the baseplate then put on and then the handle. The baseplate indentations seem reduntant to me in this respect. The indentations make it easier to get your fingers on the blade tabs which in turn makes it very simple to unload the blade from the razor head. Pure assumption here. Originally the baseplates may have been designed with the indentation to fit with the aesthetic of the top cap. The widebody top cap came later due to popular demand. Some people prefer the blade tabs to be covered.I can see the purpose of having the indentations on the original top cap as I have the wide cap and when I take the razor apart the blade is always jammed close to the surface ... the indentations would make removal easier. i do too like the look of them though.

I agree, the bottom should match the top with the wide top cap. This is definitely a 'first' world problem ... I hang my head.I prefer the blade tabs to be covered, I've never had problems removing a blade and prefer not to catch myself with the tabs when shaving behind my ears. It also looks much neater. That said, I went for the standard cap for mine because I don't like the wide cap with a standard plate, I'd have preferred a proper wider head.
In my eyes, you win with either one as the razor as a whole is simply fantastic…..Not my thing, but options are good. The handle looks like it will be secure in the hand.
Yeah - I like that. I assume it's aluminium. Anyone know?
