Actually, you got the blade gaps wrong for D8 and the X2 wrong. the description says:

Name: DS-D8 safety razor he
Cap:scallop
Surface: polish
Blade Gap: 0.68
Blade Exposure: ~0 to +0.01 mm (I say roughly because of blade width variance)
Material: 316L Stainless Steel,Copper,Titani
Processing technology: CNC
See here for details:

and
Name: DS-X1 safety razor head
Cap:scalloped
One side is open comb, one side is colosed comb
Surface: polished
Blade Gap: 0.68 mm

Name: DS-X2 safety razor head
Cap:scalloped
Two side are all open comb
Surface: polished
Blade Gap: 0.68 mm
Blade Exposure: ~0 to +0.01 mm (I say roughly because of blade width variances)
Material: 316L Stainless Steel,Copper,Titanium

Check here for the details:

It's the S9 that has an 0.86mm blade gap:

sorry -if you find my post to be misleading`?? I try to be absolutely- down to earth- and simply tell it -as it is-or as I find it- -I tend to tell it - as. I know that we all differing - in our opinions- and so be it- But I can only say what I find-or know- what my own experience has been! this razor is described as being a 0.68 clone-and for me-it is more likened to be a 0.95 gap razor-in its shaving abilities ? sorry to upset the apple cart!!
If that's in reply to my post, I was just saying that you got the blade gap wrong in the original posts I replied to there.

Also that dscosmetics' marking on the base plate is misleading, because it says: "DS-D.8-T", which makes it look like they're trying to hint at the blade gap, when it isn't really so... or they have bungled up the description on the product page.

EDIT: Ah, I see you've edited the posts to fix the blade gap and I haven't noticed (maybe I had the page open too long 🤔 ). My apologies.

Given the speed Dscosmetics have started to produce these different variations, and the fact they only seem to be copying RazoRock, I wonder if the RazoRock razors have been made in China all along.
I was thinking the same, but it is pretty easy to copy a razor, and would think that if RazoRock outsourced to China, they would have a much more consistent supply of heads and handles.

Yes correct, my mistake D8 gap is 0.68.

Look forward for your review! I'm quite interested in that one.

@jimthecamera hope your well, I have very similar taste in DE razors to you. You had me at Timeless 0.95 Ti. Am I right in thinking that is the SB as opposed to the OC version?
If so this is the perfect face feel for me. @carbold I could be wrong but I'm thinking you may be looking for something more efficient/aggressive, if this is the case (above).

@Nishy yes correct. And I already have a game changer 0.84, so for now I won't go for the S9 either. However I was impressed by the Z0. If they sort out the tolerance issue it's a good head for people who like blade feel. I have a feeling that they'll come up with a Lupo clone soon, a clone of a clone 😂. Basically a titanium Wolfman WR1 for maybe 50 quid

yes the ti is a closed comb-0.68 version but shaves more like my old timeless to in 0.95-if that makes any sense-it is not at all like the earlier game changers 0.68 and .84-in use

I bought a slightly used Z0 off of a BST that should be here Monday. He said his had none of the blade play issues, so I'll let everyone know soon how it goes. I plan to do a side-by-side video with the Z0 and my R41 at some point.

Most people don't have an appreciation for this kind of problem, especially if they've never had a CNC machined razor. Say you've only had a Fatip, then the Z0 would be perfectly fine for you

I specifically mentioned the Fatip to the seller. He said the blade doesn't move. The price was worth the risk. If I don't like it, I'll probably give it away on the YouTube channel.
