It's... alive!
Amazing value for a titanium head. If it wasn't for those notches that trigger my OCD (WHY?) I would go for it.....
I reckon they're there for easier blade removal using a fingernail should the blade stick to the base plate.

Had an opportunity to trial out the new Chinese (aliexpress) -titanium razor head - in 0.68 gap.
I added an existing stork ti Paladin "hedgehog" handle- to make this a complete razor.

This razor head, is extremely well made-with no sideways play at all, and locks together tightly, holding the blade in perfect alignment.

Fit and finish, is outstanding, for a razor at this price point ,and the polishing has been done superbly-with a very highly polished, and unblemished finish, even to the tricky to polish, scalloped top cap-which for me, makes this razor stand out from the plain ones-
On the underside of the top cap, on my particular head- there remains a very faint and slight machine mark-which in no way, affects the precision of this razor-if required this could easily be removed, later on for perfectionists!!

I used the tried and tested l'orange verte soap and splash, (which I have always found to be slick yet cushioning with a great post shave feel afterwards) -And paired the razor up with a new gillette platinum plus blade -(which personally has since- replaced my feathers- as I now get 3 shaves per blade.)

Lathered up -and on first pass, I was quite simply amazed that it -quite effortlessly, removed ,3 days of growth, on the very first pass-
I must confess that I was expecting a less efficient first pass- (as all of my earlier game changers -gave me)-this one was totally different ,super efficient -yet utterly smooth throughout.

Re-lathered and did a second pass-and there was little if anything left, at all, for this razor to remove.

Easy to get this razor ,under the nose, to remove all growth, and being so light in weight, It is a very intuitive razor, in use.

So no nicks and no cuts, and never ever offered to bite at all-simply put, this is a superb shaving instrument.

No touch ups at all required, and I found this very nimble and lightweight razor- to be on a par with, my much more expensive, and daily user - carbon titan -which I use with a 1.08 gap ++ baseplate.

To me this razor although stated to be only a 0.68 gap -has no blade feel at all-yet shaves more like my old timeless ti in 0.95 -and almost as efficient as my 1.08 carbon titan -or my 1.10 colibri Russian homelike razors.
so a lot more efficient than any of the razorocks- of the same stated gap.

All in all, I am mightily impressed, that they can produce a titanium head for only around £55- delivered here in the uk -that shaves far better, than either of my 2x wolfmans-and at a price point of only £55 (head only)

For any of you mulling over, purchasing the titanium razor, or head only- as I did, i can thoroughly recommend this razor, after only the one shave today, with it-and for me, It would certainly suffice for a super efficient and smooth - daily use razor.
I ordered mine on 15th dec ,arrived here in the uk on 24th dec, and eventually delivered via Royal Mail 48 on 31st Dec , so 7 days, stuck at our own Royal Mail!! enough said!!

Have a good day fellow shavers, and all the very best, to you all, for 2021

Did seller declare actual price ? In other words, have you been charged with customs?

Well surprise surprise -the ti 0.8 gap- titanium -and Chinese made razor head-descended on me today.
(seems that here- in the uk they finally use Royal Mail 48 to deliver the razor head- here in the uk-although it took Royal Mail 5 days to do so!!)

Delighted with the sheer quality of machining- and all tolerances on this cap and base plate -with no play whatsoever evident.
small amount of residual machine work in one of the grooves- under the cap -but nothing that would ever affect tolerances etc.

I added my usual plastic spacer washer- and then added my existing stork hedgehog ti handle- to make a complete -and ready to use razor
and mightily impressed with the end result.
So- will get to use it- for my first shave -of the new year-tomorrow- and then report back -with an update of my impressions-
- as to performance and efficiency-

Have a good new year- to all our fellow shavers

I think the D8 is actually a 0.68 blade gap, rather than 0.8.

I understood that it is a clone of the .84 game changer ? with a few slots for blade removal - and of course a scalloped head-?? but may well be wrong- It certainly shaves more like my old timeless in 0.95- or my carbon titan- which is a 1.08 gap-no blade feel ++ baseplate model -than any 0.68 gap razor I have ever owned-?? love it -as it is super efficient yet smooth !!

no customs charged at all- on the outside of the envelope containing the head -they had stuck on a Royal Mail 48 delivery new label- before forwarding it to me via Royal Mail-hope this helps-

Great review @jimthecamera, I just hope that they start copying other razors and not just the Razorocks. It would be nice to see a copy of the Wolfman and other high ends. Good to know that there is no side play of the top cap, I think they are learning and adjusting. I have been buying more and more stuff from Aliexpress and very rarely it stops at customs. They now have an agreement with Royal Mail, and the returns are easy with no fuss and free. Aliexpress is the Amazon of the future

To be honest you could have knocked me over with a feather -this morning-as have tried both the 0.68 and 3 of the 0.84 game changers.

I quite liked the oc jaws version -the best but none- were what I would say efficient-always a 3rd pass and touch ups-

This ti Chinese one- removes everything first pass-i always do a second atg pass-and surprised-as nothing really left to remove on second pass today
I tend to use my carbon titan -in ti-all of the time nowadays-despite it being a 1.08 on the ++ plate (which has no blade forward feel to it at all)
I happen to also own a wolfman wr1 -in 0.74, -and then also added the newer and matching wr2 (except this model has the hollow handle) -in 0.95 dual comb-and neither of these 2x wolfmans-come anywhere near the pleasure of today's shave
I even rescued a Russian made-ti stand- that I had made for 1 of my pinecone handle sets-
Hole diameter-is either in 15mm or 16mm- cannot recall as quite a while back- but, as it was the only one that would accommodate the larger bottom part of the stork Paladin "hedgehog " handle-but to me it looks a perfect match- and sets off the new razor set well-so a definite keeper for me-even she who wears the trousers could use this one -with abandon!!

for me today- it reminds me of my old timeless in ti 0.95- and almost, on a par with my best ever razor- the ugly as sin carbon titan-which ,and with handle, only weighs 38 grams- in ti -at 1.08 gap on the- no blade forward ++plate--for me- perfection -easy to use -intuative - and quite lightweight-as no real blade feel from it-at all, unlike the wolfmans - which I have always found to be blade forward-even the pre wolfman bbs-1 which I shaved with for years- and all of the rex models-and the earlier carbon 316l 's -that I had-anyone could get a decent and easy 2 pass shave-and described as only being a 0.68-(which personally I doubt) as have owned well over 150+ razors over the past few years-and tried around 6 or so of the various models of game changers etc.slight but not noticeable blade forward feel -but not in a worrying way at all-and for only £55 delivered for a machined ti razor head-impossible to beat on price as well as being a superb razor-

The S9 is almost a GameChanger 0.84 clone, except it's a 0.86.
The way the baseplate of the D8 is marked is rather misleading.

I might grab the X2 (the OC version of the D8), considering the positive feedback on the D8. But I'll wait and see whether an OC Lupo goes on sale or not first

sorry -if you find my post to be misleading`?? I try to be absolutely- down to earth- and simply tell it -as it is-or as I find it- -I tend to tell it - as. I know that we all differing - in our opinions- and so be it- But I can only say what I find-or know- what my own experience has been! this razor is described as being a 0.68 clone-and for me-it is more likened to be a 0.95 gap razor-in its shaving abilities ? sorry to upset the apple cart!!
