Mine arrived a few hours ago
Style 3 in Lime, 28mm by 54mm Unique Fan.
Edit: Measured my knot on calipers and got 29mm by 53mm so 1mm wider and 1mm shorter than listed which I'm completely fine with.
The knot seems to be more of a Fan-Flat hybrid which I do prefer so very pleased with that.
The hair looks very similar and does feel very similar to my Wiborg White Badger knot. The Wiborg is a 48mm loft so much different backbone feel.
The knot looks and feels great does have some stink like moth balls almost but nothing offensive will be gone in a day or two after a bunch of test lathers. But so far it feels like the density is moderate to dense but not overwhelming. The tips are very soft with very little scrub at all I'm sure once it breaks in I'll see some nice hooked tips on this.

I got the same exact brush as you did and I agree with you I love that it's more of a fan hybrid this way it doesn't splay as muchMine arrived a few hours ago

I found it splayed easy but still had the backbone I like.
I do prefer this shape of knot over most everything else just cause you can scrub and get a good amount of splay but if you want to paint it really flattens and gives a nice wide surface to paint with. Since I do both during my shaves I really enjoy a knot shape like this.
I might prefer if this knot was set at 52mm but I won't complain for the quality of knot in this brush for the price of this brush.

I smell mostly chemicals, like chlorine and something else, and very little animal. Top notch stuff right here! True silvertip yet strong like a manchurian (or your typical two-band anyway). Gonna need a dozen shaves at least before I can say what it’s truly like, but I have no reason to doubt it will be any less than fantastic!

Firstly absolutely gorgeous out of the box, the first bloom picture also looks lovely. What is interesting is your point on the scent. It made me realise although I have smelt wet pig and horse, I've never smelt wet badger (I have to be careful here family as members!). I only assume the scent is of wet badger given several brushes received. However, these tips are a lot more white and soft than my preferred yellow, crisp when dry hair type. So presumably treated for longer. Saying this the AF Semogue 2017 LE contains untreated hair which is very similar to the latest Shavemac LE. It would be interesting to find out what chemicals are actually used. I'm assuming it's not just bleach.One lather later...

The smell of badger is something really strong, extremely animalic. When wet, it is appalling, something you surely won’t mistake for a chemical, or another artificial scent. I’ve handled 30-40 brand new knots, loose hair, only tied and not glued. Once I glued and wet them, the scent came out like you wouldn’t believe it.. so I know my stinky badgers really well
The strongest scent I’m picking up here is the scent of a Chinese store, and I mean no disrespect here by any means. All those stores selling “everything” (not food though) all smell the same where I live. What it is, I don’t know. The chlorine/bleach was there for a few minutes until I washed it off, now it’s barely noticeable. As for the other chemicals, I suppose only the people working in the industry would know the details, I gotta say, I’m not very interested myself... no real reason/benefit for me to know I suppose!
With regards to the feel of the hair, I would say you’re right on the money - this hair probably hasn’t been treated for as long as some of those “crispy when dry and gel-like when wet”. At least this is my assumption, since this knot feels more natural to me. In any case, this is good news to me. The knots are just right and the craftsmanship is, again, phenomenal!
