Wholly Kaw soap base reformulation "Siero" .

Had my 3rd shave with Bare Siero tonight. Another great shave. For me it's a tie between DG Milksteak and WK Siero. Milksteak focuses a bit more on residual slickness while Siero focuses a bit more on post-shave feel. Regarding post-shave feel I still prefer the current A&E base over anything else.

I second the post shave of A&E, it is second to none. I can't believe how my skin feels after a shave with Asian Plum.

I am now sure that the only soap I will get is the Milksteak. And maybe a Noble Otter.

Now I am confused. It seems that Maggards won't stock soon more Milksteak soaps... So... My mind is playing games right now;

Order the Bare Siero to see what is all about? (28 euros final price)
Order the Razorock Hawk v2 along with some blades to see how different is the feeling of a SE blade? (25 euros the razor only)

I can't get them both, so....

What would you suggest?

I’d recommend trying out the soap personally as I know you’re curious about it. I’ve never used the Hawk though so I’m biased!

I agree, after having tried many of the best artisans, my standards now are set really high.

I will avoid Noble Otter, I am between the Siero and Zingari Sego, but the latter is a new artisan, so I must wait before buying.
Zingari Man Sego is one of the best, but I rate Siero higher. But, the standard of the best artisans are high.

So, I will wait a little more and if Milksteak does show up on Maggards, Siero will be my choice.

Another soap in the den, oh well..

I own and have used both and this is the biggest no-brainer ever for me. I'd rather pay €50 for the Hawk V2 and some blades than get 50 tubs of Bare Siero for free (if I wasn't allowed to sell most of them of course). In the end Bare Siero is just another soap, regardless of how good the base is. The Hawk is another type of razor with other type of blades, so pretty much a totally new experience. I say this as a guy who loves to collect and experiment with soaps while I only have roughly a handful of razors.

Oh no, not again... Both maybe?? :)

I will think about it and decide. I just can't leave something behind.

I predict that you won't like the smell of Bare Siero.
Does it smell like Ivory Soap or something similar? Or you don't get any smell?

Just don't tell me it smells like bull's....you know..
