yep gout is no joke... the ball of our foot swells up to nearly twice it's size and the pain makes us wish we'd get kidney stones trying to escape out of both kidneys at the same time instead... had to call out of work 1 time cause of the gout...

Yep, hot, red, and swollen, and walking on it is not an option. Keep it well elevated and drink water, lotsa water.

I was having a great day until my sister placed me into a WhatsApp group with my other brothers and sisters to inform us my mum has been taken to hospital with suspected Sepsis.

Hope all goes well, that can be some bad stuff.

So sorry to hear that, what happened?

She was bitten by a Recluse spider whilst visiting the Grand Canyon on holiday a few years back and her leg never did heal right.
The skin just keeps breaking down and getting infected.
Perhaps the bite triggered something, who knows, atm she is still in resus with a high temperature and my dad refuses to leave her side until she stabilised and placed onto a ward.
