What made your day a crap one?

I have never seen a fire fighting helicopter at our airport until today. It was hauling a big bag which I took contained water on a very long line under it. All I have ever seen locally are fixed wing water bombers but they must all be off forest fire fighting a good distance away. I doubt you can imagine how many forest fires are currently burning in our region of Ontario.

It was a bad day for our dog too. She has a spot at the base of her tail that is bothering her a lot. She keeps biting at it aggressively so the boss cut the hair back around it and covered it with a cloth. The dog also now has a collar on so she can't bite at it. We are just waiting for the vet to call when they have an opening to get her in.

All in all not a good day.

Is the Thunder Bay that's mentioned in the article where you are Bob? Things sound awful.

That is the funny thing about these huge fires and the different weather cells associated with them. Depending on which weather cells are moving through it can be either not bad or horrible, sometimes all in the same day. Yea, that is Thunder Bay with a population of over 100,000 and growing with all the evacuees coming here and else where.
