As predicted, the first winter storm of the season started during the night, will continue through the day and taper off by Thursday. I would not want to be on the TransCanada Highway anywhere from eastern Ontario to the Rockies in the west. Terrible conditions in the west yesterday and now in the east. Add to that the huge increase in transport trucks over the last few years with poorly trained drivers and suspect equipment you run the gauntlet on the roads with them. Personally I'd stay home or if caught on the road pull over and get a room for a few days until the storm clears and the road conditions improve. Driving in the city is not going to be much joy as a lot of drivers will be driving like it still is summer by following too close and speeding. It takes a bit for the light bulb to come on and for some it never does to drive according to conditions. Should be fun to watch from the sidelines.
