I sympathise with your troubles, @Hone but must applaud your dedication and belief in your standards and ideals. Hopefully you will soon hold in your hand a production sample that meets said standards and you can start to bring the Hone Type 15S to market. Never surrender!

All the very best,
Graeme

I'd like to add that I also really appreciate the honesty, integrity and transparency that Andrew's showing here. Other manufacturers have hit bumps in the road and either sent out a sub-par product or delayed but not really said what was happening. I also found it interesting to see exactly what the problems had been and am now considering a steel Hone when they become available.

Having recently acquired a aluminium Hone and waiting for a brass one to arrive I can honestly say I trust @Hone and Andrew have only the best intentions and highest standards as the razor is a real gem. I too am happy to wait for the steel version, it’s good to see the honesty Andrew is showing here about the difficulties he’s been facing.

Thank you @LeeMaz. Really glad you are enjoying your aluminium Type 15. Getting in front of a camera isn't my favourite place to be... but I felt it was the right thing to do in this instance. And hearing this type of feedback is exactly why. Thank you for your support.

Really sorry to hear this update.
Glaring negligence with QC in producing samples, let alone what commitment they intend to bring with production batch.

As I was pondering the other day, I had an idea. I don't know if it's a good idea, but I think I share anyway.
As Shane from @Blackland Razors, is showing the world that crafting metall has gone to a new Level. Isn't that a opportunity for other Artisan razor makers to take a step back, and look at how this could influence their way of production, especially when in need of a new workshop?
As I have said, I don't know if that is a idea that could work in real live, but in my head it sounds like a good solution for @Hone ?

Lol if Hone is trying to avoid frustrating production delays I’m not sure they’ll want to follow our footsteps.
