I was touched by something that happened to me at the exhibition last Saturday.

An older lady, well over 80 at a guess, came over to me and said she was so taken with my boxfiles last year, she went out and bought one to create her own. She based hers on the station she used to play at as a child, Temple Hirst. (Now closed.)

To my mind it’s a work of art, that she’s achieved and she was, rightly, proud of what she had done.

I like to help other modellers whenever I can, but this one is something special.

These are in a different league from the typical model railway that you might imagine.

Look how the locomotive has been prepared, it could be shiney and bright but instead it has seen some weather and thought has been given to the fact that the worst of the dirt would be on the roof and not the sides.

your comments are spot on. The detail and authenticity are unbelievable. The epitome of skill and patience.
