It’s really poor service to be fair. Kind of service I wouldn’t usually purchase from. I don’t mind delays, as long as made aware. Lack of contact is poor.2049 here and likewise haven't heard anything yet.
Yeah, it kind of sucks. I waited almost 7 weeks for my set to arrive but, I got lucky in between there and picked up a set on the b/s/t to hold me over. Still, there should be some sort of communication from the vendor or some sort of posting on their website on current production runs or delays... It would definitely help out. It’s really poor service to be fair. Kind of service I wouldn’t usually purchase from. I don’t mind delays, as long as made aware. Lack of contact is poor.

Good on youJust got home to find the dreaded grey customs card - £19.47 paid. At least I know I should have it within a couple of days.
Thanks Halvor. Yes 1904. Hopefully he will catch up with himself soon.Good on you(for receiving, obviously, not the customs charge...)
And you were 1904? That means he is seriously behind the progress schedule on his website. Oh well.
Thanks for that. Early days I know, but for a first shave, I was very impressed. I suppose it is an art thing as much as anything. I get great shaves from all my razors. But I would like to add a high end, or higher end, razor to my collection. So I have been looking at the Blackbird and the Pils. I know, very different razors. The Karve on D (and I might include the C-plate) does not compare at all with the Blackbird in aggressiveness. However the efficiency is at least its equal in my book.
That’s what makes the Karve so special.
I love the Timeless, Wolfman and others but the Karve is such a smooth and efficient razor it’s hard not to pick up in the morning. It also eliminates the need for guys to chase expensive Wolfmans or other high priced razors imo if they are just after great performance and not art.
Ah...I see. That makes sense. Thank you. It’s preference really. The Blackbird’s small 0.58mm gap combined with its positive blade exposure is unique and gives a great shave. I just much prefer (these days) the same efficiency from razors with negative blade exposure like the Karve. Same end result with more comfort.
