The grooves in the handle could be problematic but like anything just clean it........I will be happy with a bit of discolouration on the handle as brass can be a bit flat and boring unless you shine it up, and I don't want that monkey on my back........step away from the Brasso......

How do you age it ?

There’s three methods, Ammonia, baking with Vinegar and finally and the easiest, hard boiled eggs which I may try. I can always get it bright again easily

@Holyzeus & @missingskin, your observations regarding the efficiency of this razor is a bit interesting as I don't find Plate D as efficient as my Blackbirds.
I guess this is another example of subjectivity and how things are so very different, for all of us.
Please, understand that I find Plate D very efficient and smooth, but not quite as effective as my Blackbirds, in some areas of my neck, for some reason.

I have a few metal cleaning things in the garage, Brasso could work.
If you look at the first pic you can clearly see staining already occurring and i’ve only used it three times. Anyone wanting to keep it as new will have to do it regularly or coat it

That looks quite nice.
I have noticed that mine also stains extremely easy if I leave small droplets of water or soap on it if I don't notice them, after my shaves. I have had to clean mine, thrice, already.

Me either. I very nearly did, as I like the design, but I don't like maintenance of brass. Steel/Aluminium, hell yes!
