Homelike Taiga Adjustable Razor

Positive blade exposure? I presume turning the adjustment dial changes only the gap and not the exposure?

Just used this for a head shave and it was wonderfully smooth. 3.5 to begin with and then dropped it down to a 2.5 for the final pass. Very eager to try it out on the face tomorrow.
You'll love it, setting 6 with the OC and 2 days growth was phenomenal for me, and i hate open combs 😂, i can't wait to try the sb plate, after years of buying the latest and greatest, i found the Rex on setting 6, and it was my grail razor, but the Taiga is smooth as butter and gets me as close, and closer in my trouble spots, the Rex handle is unbeatable imo though, i'd love a hybrid of the Taiga head on the Rex handle, but by all accounts the Titanium handle is extremely grippy, yet more money to spend on a hobby i got in to to save money lol.

Haha, I hear you completely. I did get the Ti handle but got it later on so still waiting. It’s annoying as I think my new Timeless Ti is my holy grail... but this thing might come in and sweep it away!

I feel guilty when i look at my Rex now, like i've been cheating on it 😂 but the Taiga is soooo good, beats all the Charcoal plates and Timeless i've owned (still have a 0.95 sb timeless in ss) i'm really glad the Taiga has worked so well, the Start is superb as well, and i really like the way Homelike are so helpful and professional in the way they conduct business, had quite a lot of back and forth with them, always helpful despite the language barrier.

The value for money is insane isn’t it? Like why would you even buy a Rockwell Model T when you can get this for not much more.

Sigh... just when I thought I was out they pull me back in.

Yeah, what is the model T made of? Is it brass plated with chrome? I've never bothered to investigate it further tbh, the length of time it took them to come across with it totally put me off, and why the hell Rockwell haven't released a new plate for the 6s is mind boggling to me, i can shave daily with plate 6 no problem, i'd appreciate a plate 7-8 for some extra efficiency.

Mate, they cheaped out. The doors are zamac. Why they couldn't cast (or press) them in brass instead of zamac I don't know.
Would have been a good razor but not worth the wait (3 years?....I pulled out after 6 months).

That's terrible, i've seen some bad reviews on the model T as well, with issues about the doors ect.

Re the Taiga, I am so tempted but I like the prototype's adjustment collar better.
Had the Gibbs shape to it. Not sure that I like the newest version.
Am I being 'picky', or do others like the early collar better too?
My name is on the Wolfman list (7th September so I may get an email/invoice soon...but that Taiga looks so good!).
No, I can't buy both which is the usual way to sort these issues out.
