Homelike Taiga Adjustable Razor

Batch300

Extraordinarily Uncomplicated
Re the Taiga, I am so tempted but I like the prototype's adjustment collar better.
Had the Gibbs shape to it. Not sure that I like the newest version.
Am I being 'picky', or do others like the early collar better too?
My name is on the Wolfman list (7th September so I may get an email/invoice soon...but that Taiga looks so good!).
No, I can't buy both which is the usual way to sort these issues out.
Always wanted a Gibbs razor. `
My recent Rockwell 6s in black cured my "adjustable razor" needs for a while.

I am on the Wolfman list - Sept 10. Hoping the eBayer's and their 2nd cousin twice removed signed up early (before Sep 7). Goal is Wolfman OC in June. If not, I might review other options

Hmmmm, that's strange because New Zealand time is ahead of UK time.
Maybe James has forgotten me?
I might be buying that Taiga after all.
I double checked this. I'm going by the date/time of an email I received from Google Forms entitled "Wolfman Razors - Email Order Form" and this came to me on 7th September 19:07 by my local time.

OK, I ordered on 7th September and then received the Google email Sun, 22 Sep 2019, 04:55.
Took 15 days for Google Forms reply?
Maybe I have another 15 day wait...plenty of time to admire the Taiga.

You sure that isn't the second email? I got the second email, entitled "Automated reply from Wolfman Razors" on 21st Sept 17:44

Sorry to the Taiga guys for the Wolfman discussion here, hope no one minds.

Had another great shave last night with the Taiga but you need to be careful with the adjustment ring, it got nudged up to a higher setting by my grip twice during the shave
Worrying. That was an issue with the early Rex too.

I've seen this a number of times about the Rex, i've owned the M model and currently the N4, and i've never had this issue, but i do hold them just below the adjustment dial, and let the razors head weight do the work for me, same with the Taiga.
I didn’t have an issue myself but I remember Kevy having a problem with that earlier model, and when I tried the N series they’d made that adjustment tighter. The Taiga one is quite easy to move IMO.

Am I imagining this ... but don't razors like the fatboy "click" at the different settings so you can't easily knock them up or down?

From memory the Rex doesn’t and this one certainly doesn’t either. It’s a smooth turning but there’s no audible click.

No, you are not imagining that.
Fatboys do indeed 'click' at the different settings. There is a wee detent spring under the adjustment dial.
