Thanks Doc, with exception of Polsilvers I have not found any blade coming from PPI to be very sharp. Mind, even Polsilvers are not the sharpest out there but sharp enough for my hard bristles. This feedback spurs me on to read more about Brazilian Plats.

Blades are a very YMMV issue, I found the sharpest PPI blades to the 7 Yellow and Permsharp SS, the latter especially after a few shaves, but IMO the sharpest current production Gillette blade is the 7 Black.
With my bristles/old UK Gillette razors I get very good shaves with almost any PPI blade but the Indian Gillettes (7 Black, GWS, Winner Platinum) seems to suit my face the best.

I’ve been enjoying a hybrid bowl/face lather lately using the CosmoBarber precision loading technique he demonstrates, and fancied a bowl that is a little flatter and doesn’t have ridges (but does have glass beads for texture) to assist with loading soap into the brush. Look up the technique if you fancy it, makes dialing in any soap easy.
