Stop reading articles on the internet. Talk to your physician(s) and your other health care providers: ask questions, listen to them, tell them how you feel mentally and emotionally; if they are uncertain, don’t answer your questions or explain things satisfactorily you can request a second opinion. My experience with the health care system (2 cancers and pacemaker) that you have to be your own advocate at times. The health care system is under pressure, but my oncologist said to me at my first appointment that he usually runs late for his appointments because he won’t go to his next one until he is satisfied that the patient he is seeing is satIsfied.
Wow, Rufus.. wow.. So much strength, so much power. I feel weak, I worry a lot and even I get past this, the way I think won't change.

Thank you, but I have my fair share of anxiety and worry. I know what it’s like to wake up at 3.00am full of anxiety and worry. But one has to get on with life and deal with its trials and tribulations. Try not to be a victim of the crap life shovels up from time to time and do the best you can to tackle it keeping an eye on the outcome you want all the time. It’s normal for a person to feel overwhelmed and powerless on occasion: it looks like a mountain that you have to climb, but if you break it down into more manageable pieces you’ll soon get through it. It’s easy to say/write this, but I know it’s possible to do it.

If you don’t change I’m afraid it’s likely your family won’t have you around for as long as you like. Take it from me, stress and anxiety wear the body and mind down over time. You really need to speak to someone when you’re feeling better about how you can calm down and look at things objectively. For your health most of all.

Update: Today is the day I'm leaving hospital and go home. I'm feeling much better, I have little pain around the cut, feeling strong enough. My blood tests were good too.

They did yesterday the cancerous tests, by taking blood, they told me everything was ok.

I must do another CT and find the first one I did prior the surgery and a colonoscopy in about a month. We will see about that.

The appendix was sent for histological check as always and that's all.

Anything to worry from now?

Good to hear you are going home and the pain has receded.

Hope the future is brighter for you and your anxiety levels can return to a lower level.

Stay strong King Randy!
