Is the 43.6 temp the actual temp and it feels like 37 temp because there is little humidity? Here they give the actual temp and say it feels like a higher temp with the humidex calculated in.

NYC/London accent?!!! That's a speech impediment!Mrs. chazt and I visited UK exactly three years ago (July 19-31, 2019). Besides it being one of the most wonderful trips we’d ever taken, it was also memorable for the intense heat. We were in London from 19-21 (must get back to spend more time exploring!). My cousin has lived in London for over 40 years (aside: imagine what a Brooklyn born and raised girl living in London for over 40 years sounds like… that’s her).
When we walked into her beautiful home, I was dragging my heels big time. It was so hot! She welcomed us in and said, “come in, come in, isn’t nice and cool in here?” It wasn’t. I walked straight to her kitchen and put my head in the freezer. We learned that air conditioning is quite rare in much of UK. We visited England, Scotland and Wales. If memory serves, some of the hotels’ common areas were air conditioned, but frankly the most effective air conditioning we remember was on the tour bus.
The NY Times reported yesterday that air conditioner sales were recently up over 500% from the same time last year.

Not just NYC… Brooklyn, baby!NYC/London accent?!!! That's a speech impediment!![]()
In general when we get weather hot enough to warrant it it only lasts a few days. Thank goodness. We learned that air conditioning is quite rare in much of UK.
That's from the outside sensor hooked up to my central heating. No idea if it's measuring humidity as well.Is the 43.6 temp the actual temp and it feels like 37 temp because there is little humidity? Here they give the actual temp and say it feels like a higher temp with the humidex calculated in.
