I've used that line myself from time to time... Mine was 1971. We must be contemporaries..

Mrs. BnT is on the Altar Guild at church this month. Filling the wine cups, being sure there are enough communion wafers, etc, etc. , so I have to be relatively neat to accompany her and help out..

The razor...

RigaRazor Custom. The heavy grinds are all going out for a spin, and they all shave wonderfully! I have to give high marks to these "cottage industry" bladesmiths... They do a marvelous job producing these blades! The bevel on this Riga is tiny. When they get that small, they had better be even also, and they are! Given a light re-touch on the Shoubudani Asagi.

Simpsons Tulip 3 in Two Band Super.. No soap scares this brush!

The Soap ..

Palmolive Shave Sticks remilled into an Old Spice mug. Great scent and performance, with a dollop of liquid lanolin. Proof that we don't need to spend a lot of money for a great shave soap.

The Finish ..

User Filly 14 Sub Cero, soap was Asylum Shave Works SV Colonia beta 4.3 lathered with a Semouge Galahad. A splash of AdP Colonia AS finished up a great shave.

Red and black theme today, my old high school colors - go Bobcats! Soap was MdC rose lathered with a Semogue Galahad, and a splash of Harris Pink topped off a rosy shave.

The razor ..

Puma 89 Special.. No touch-up needed.. I wish I recall what I finished this on! Near zero alum bite..

The brush ..

I've loved this brush since the day I bought it. For my good self, it could be the closest thing to perfection. A special run by Simpsons, back when they would accommodate such notions, featuring the Colonel X2L handle with Two Band Super hair. The brain child of Marc at Simpsons, Phil @ Bullgoose, and a savvy wet shaver by the name of Ehsan.. And these brushes became known as "The Ehsan." I like it so much I have two of them.
BTW, an anomaly to this brush is that the handle is marked "Best Badger," with obviously Two Band hair.

The soap ..

Czech & Speake "88"... I will miss this soap mightily when it's gone!

The Finish ..

Ogallala Bay Rum .. Limes & Peppercorns. I like the Bay Rum scent, but some of them are overpowering. I like this one for it's mild scent and great face feel..
