I recently fitted custom scales to this P. Kohnen razor- setting the bevel was quite a task but a nice shave just now.

Trying out two Bengalls at opposite ends of the spectrum yesterday...

The difference is only 5/8 and 7/8 respectively but they feel miles apart; both shave well but I far prefer the larger, heavier, razor. This is the only 7/8 I have I think, and I rather like it. Smaller one was honed by someone else and finished on a Yellow Lake silkstone, larger I honed on a Washita - Moughton - Llyn Nantlle progression. The latter is a really first rate stone, and happily up there with my favourite finishers along with CFs, Idwals, Thuris, and the one razor jnat I have.

MdC original in brain bowl, lathered with a Vie-Long boar and a splash of Myrsol AB and a spritz of L’OP finished up a great dpring shave. The Razor is a Jonathan Crookes Gentleman’s Hollow Ground Razor.
