It's a really good post; I'd say aftershave is almost unnecessary in my case. However, the scent is where this soap falls short. For me, the scent isn't great, not unpleasant, but it's not appealing either. I hope this description is helpful. Best regards.

Post/After-shave:- T.N. Dickinson Witch Hazel Astringent mixed into the 240ml bottle with Plunkett's Vita E Pure with Rosehip Oil (10 drops), Natural Plant Glycerine (20) & Tea Tree Oil Antiseptic (5)
Moisturising Cream:- Aveeno Active Naturals Daily Fragrance-Free (for autumn & winter season)

This is my last final shave tonight at the spinal rehabilitation hospital as I'm going home tomorrow lunchtime, it's about bloody time.

The razor was cheap (for NZ anyway) - about US$18 - and isn't a pristine example. However, everything works smoothly, and the bars are straight and true.
I'm curious about the year of manufacture - there is no date code but a circled capital "i" next to the handle on the underside of the base.

No date code because it's made in England.. Only U.S versions had date codes...It doesn't appear to be the "Rocket" style version so 1955-1958 approx.. Enjoy
