Merkur 33c three piece razor Wilkinson stainless steel blade
Van der Hagen deluxe badger brush
Van der Hagen deluxe shaving soap
Care One witch hazel
Clubman aftershave
Racing Club blue eau de toilette

Hot shower prep with Old Spice Swagger body wash

The hot water felt good on my battered body. For an inexpensive off the shelf soap Van der Hagen performs a good workman like job. It's slicker and more cushioning than the best jello or canned foam. I made a solid face lather. The Merkur is an old friend of 20+ years and was my first DE when I started wet shaving. It is both solid clamping and nimble on the face. Two lathered passes are good enough to go about my daily chores. Witch hazel and Clubman finish and a little Racing Club blue to keep me from smelling like every guy walking out of barbershop.

Personal note: My brother passed sunday. I'm not completely back yet. Grief is a process and not a destination but he's no longer in pain and he's with the Lord. I want to thank everyone for their kind thoughts and support and also for this website that has been a calm place I could go to during this trying time. Thank you all.
Sorry for your loss.

Pre - Droyt's Vegetas Glycerine Soap
Brush - Yaqi Coco-cola 22mm Synth
Soap - Monsavon Bol à Raser
Razor - Rockwell SETPOINT #5.0 - Karve "C" 0.85
Blade - Wizamet Super Iridium (P&G 2012)
Post - Cold water Rinse
Balm - Tonyschin's E45 / Argan oil Sandalwood and Jasmine Balm

I set the RSP to #5.0 even though i knew i was not going to really enjoy it, however, that is a about the gap on the Karve fitted with the C Plate. From the off the Karve was smoother until i dialled down the Rockwell, i settled at # 4.5 to get similar efficiency, i did notice though that the blade in the Karve was a little harsher which was born out on the post shave routine.
I completed 2 passes for a very nice finish.
The post shave routine i put the splash on first and had a little indication from Karve side but nothing major, nothing from the Rockwell's side.
Enjoy your day all.
