I have a chubby 2 Silvertip and also prefer it to the Manchurians.A very lovely Chubby 2 two-band silvertip arrived 10days ago, and I must say I prefer it to my (2) Chubby 2 and 3 Manchurians.

Yeah it's amazing how different it is for people, truly YMMV as for me the Chubby 2 Synth is a million miles from being rough. You going to sell it?

The Chubby 2 Synth in faux ebony just arrived in July so think it's best to give it a longer time trial, maybe it's only me right now - super sensitive skin idk, some things need more time.

I am selling a Simpson Chubby 2 Manchurian Sapphire and a SImpson Chubby 3 Manchurian Blue Opal.
Manchurian as a bucket list checking point might disappoint you. I used (2) for about a year, kind of was never what I expected for the money, then discovered the Simpson Silvertip 2-band about a week ago, and now I finally understand why badger is such a superlative bristle.

Believe it or not you need to break-in the Simpsons Synthetic. I'd recommend being brutal with it. Hold the knot in very hot tap water and then bowl lather being very rough and really splaying the knot. I can't understand why or how this works but it seem to relax the knot. Then the problem becomes the too short handle because the synth generates so much lather it runs down onto the handle.
