Not actually mine but I did buy it.
My 9 year old daughter holds her (normal) pen in a shocking fashion. I've tried moulded pens to 'force' the hand into the correct position and that didn't work, but this thread inspired me to offer her a fountain pen which will make her hold is correctly if she wants it to work (I hope). She's very excited to get her own fountain pen and this is the colour she choose so hopefully she'll start to hold it correctly (and be able to write faster.)

If that Parker doesn't work maybe try a Lamy safari. The grip section is slightly moulded but it aims to align the nib and encourage proper grip. I think I remember hearing that it was designed for German school kids. The Lamy comes in a great range of colours too.
As an aside I received my converter for my Safari today and loaded it with the Diamine Damson I received as part of my secret Santa, it's great!

thanksI agree, the Lamay Safari is a wonderful pen at a good price. Moreover, it has interchangeable nibs that require no special tools or skills to change.

I had posted a couple of pictures many months back in this thread but they've been deleted (I accidentally deleted them in my Imgur account), so let me open a few pouches I have here and take fresh shots...

Light was poor when these shots were taken but here we go anyway:
Louis Cartier LE set, roller ball + 0.7mm mechanical pencil, ca. 2003, with matching burgundy coloured leather Cartier pouch:
Cartier Trinity ball pen + Cartier Diabolo black lacquer fountain pen (ca. 2008-2010):
The leather case is by Caran d'Ache.
The Diabolo series used to be available in black but also in blue lacquer finish.
The black line was lighter while the (more expensive and less widely available) blue had more metal in the cap and body, hence its weight balance was different. When we say 'line' we mean full set, i.e. mechanical pencil, ball pen, roller, fountain pen.
Montblanc Boheme Paso Doble Rouge fountain pen and Louis Cartier solid Platinum cap/leather LE fountain pen "Eye of the Tiger" (with a three-pc storage MB leather case):
Montblanc Boheme black lacquer/yellow gold set Ball Pen + 0.7mm mechanical pencil, in a MB epi leather zipped case; combination ideal for business trips:
From all the above the Trinity ball pen is lovely (albeit comparatively a bit heavy), the black lacquer Cartier fountain pen is the most utilitarian (Cartier staff across all boutiques at the time had been using these while in store), and finally the MB Boheme travel set is small and practical for travelling as well (also available in rose gold or platinum trim).

Purchased in 2014 from a store closing down sale (Singapore) at 90% off, same day I purchased 6 or 7 Dupont lighters at 80%-90% off from the same outlet (all were display items).

My dailys at the moment are a Vista and a charcoal Safari, both fine nibs that I've smoothed a little. My Vista also has a frankenverter so it has the little locking nubs but the knob is black. I've got some fairly expensive pens but am a huge fan of the Vista / Safari / Al-star and use those the most.
Umm ... does it use blood for ink?
