Aside from it coming apart there is one hell of a lot of twisting involved to get from minimum to maximum loft. Not sure why but I think I was expecting something like one half to a full turn max.

Same here. I guess it's because we're used to how adjustable razors work?

Also, I suppose this will make it rather difficult to put a meaningful scale on it. But it sure would be convenient if the brush could have a few clearly defined stops, so users can easily find/switch to their "ideal" height for bowl, face, cream, soap or whatever?

To be honest the twist mechanism was a lot smoother when it landed than what is demonstrated in the video, as mentioned in the video. So a lot easier to twist up or down. To cover every possibility of a 15mm variance in loft the mechanism needs to easily allow for this. A shorter mechanism may make this difficult. In addition if we do implement an aid to determine loft, having a short twist may make this more difficult too.

Not sure why I expected fewer turns also, but it makes sense as you say to allow for the minute differences in loft variance the brush will allow. Maybe as mentioned earlier it has something to do with adjustable razors.

@Nishy I have decided after careful thought to pull out of this group buy, I am settled on a few brushes and don't think this is for me..........The Rowl brush sort of killed it for me I am afraid, and is my go to brush now.........

Razor posted to Bernd so hopefully we should see an improved v.3 soon :)

Had a look at the mechanism, impressed with the indents where the ball bearing sits as the handle is turned; allowing for a lovely clicking sound as the loft is changed. Now it needs to work flawlessy.
