I also prefer the .76 to the .68 and the .84 - it’s right in the sweet spot of comfort and efficiency for a daily smooth 3 pass shave for me. The .68 is not efficient enough with the blades I prefer, the .84 will light up my faces at times. My vote goes to the GC 76 SB as well.
Which blades are you using? So far I’ve only tried my Personna reds and Crystals in the .76 GC. After the Crystal tuck, next up will a Viking’s Sword, courtesy of our fellow member, Steve (@Paper Plane). Then I’m planning to open some Gillette Plats and Minoras. Truly, I haven’t enjoyed a new razor this much in a very long time. It’s really been a revelation.

You, gentlemen, are very bad men. Very bad. Lust is not kindled: it erupts into voracious flame and consumes the all but the strongest of souls. I am not strong but thank goodness I’m skint or I would have fallen into making a such a glorious purchase. Come hither with yer Zither and play to me….

I’m now mostly using Gillette 7O’clook super platinum (black); with Rubies and Nacet and Gillette platinum as well (and the yellows too).
very satisfied with the GC76 as well, here !

That’s a great blade selection Baba. Rubies are my favorite but I also love the GSB, and Nacets. Not a lot of experience with the 7 O black but I liked the one I tried.

I usually shave every other day and use my GC .84p. After trying 30-40 razors it’s my favorite. There’s a lot of high end razors I haven’t tried yet so the GC may not remain king forever but for the price it will never be beat.

When I shaved daily I used my .68p most of the time but felt it left more shadow then I’d like. The .84p was a bit much for daily back then so a .76p would have been perfection. Anymore I’m finding the .84p very tame so have been considering the .105.

What are people’s thoughts on the 1.05 Game Changer? I’m tempted but found the 0.84 too mild, the 0.95 Lupo very nice but the 1.2 Lupo a bit too much

You like much more efficient razors than I, but I have a thought regarding the two lines. That being, I’m inclined to reason that in general the Lupo range is more blade forward and efficient relative to the Game Changers. Here’s why. The .68 GC was an autopilot razor with never a nick or rough shave. It was not the closest shave either, but I just needed to be clean for work. Then I briefly owned the .84 Game Changer and found it much too aggressive for me as a daily shaver, plus it bit me every time out, so I got rid of it. I’ve since discovered that the .76 GC is my Goldilocks in that range. Re: Lupos - I love the DLC (~.61 gap?), but the .72 was too aggressive and the .58 too mild.

The .76 Game Changer is efficient, smooth and mild, while the .72 Lupo was too bitey. Hence, gap for gap, Lupos are more efficient and likely blade forward than are Game Changers.

The lupo 0.95 cannot be beat by any razor given its price point and stainless steel grade quality its made of and of course it shaves efficient yet very smooth, for me for some reason even if im careless it's forgiving and won't instantly punish harshly, so far for me the lupo 0.95 and the BBS as are extremely smooth yet very efficient at the same time, the lupo 1.27 proofed to be a bit too much for me as well.

Apologies for the tardy reply, I only now realized my faux pas. Those are sharp blades you’re using. I find the GC.76 works really well with good sharp blades. I got four solid shaves out of a Med Prep! The only blade that does that or more for me is a Gem. I get up to sometimes 7 or even 8 good shaves from a Gem. But I digress.. still haven’t used a Kai in the .76. That’ll be interesting as the Kai is a wee bit wider.

So, it’s been a few months now. How much are you still digging the razor? I have my GC.76 in a short rotation with a Lupo DLC, EJ 3ONE6 and the Sabre v2 which is frankly the best razor I’ve ever used. Here and there I use a vintage Gillette or my Asylum injector. I would say that all of those razors are mild and efficient. I’d rather shave again tomorrow than have sore abused skin from using a razor I’m not getting on with.

Sorry again for the late follow-up. Have a great day! :)
