Razorock Gamechanger

Thanks to @morr I am now the happy owner of a Game Changer and I tested it out this evening on two days' growth. I like it, I like it a lot! It’s more efficient than the Mamba but just as smooth and with the same level of fit and finish. I’ve not quite pegged the level of aggression but am going to tentatively say similar to the Guerrilla but smoother. Lovers of aggressive razors will want to wait for the rumoured increased-gap version but I like this one as it is.

This will make it hard for me to decide if I will buy Dart or GC as my next razor..

So in a moment of weakness I bought the GC and tried it today. The machining is quite tidy with no visible machine marks, the polishing is obviously chemical so not as shiny as mechanical, no match to timeless or Wolfman but not bad. I’m amazed at the quality of the super knurl handle, almost identical to the Stork Hedgehog.
The geometry of the head is very similar to a Wolfman and in fact the shave reminded me of the Wolfman standard gap (0.61). It’s not hopelessly mild like the Mamba, a lot better than a Guerrilla. BBS in 2.5 passes, no cuts. Note: never managed to get a BBS with the Guerrilla nor with the Mamba.
I like it, I can’t believe they can do that for £56, close to half the price of a good Stork handle! I would still welcome the 0.9 gap, but I think this could easily be a daily shaver.

IMO it’s just on the cusp of being a medium aggressive razor and a tad more aggressive than the likes of the Guerrilla and Mamba. Although the head is very similar to the Guerrilla many Youtube reviewers describe the Gamechanger to shave much like the Wolfman WR1.

According to Razorock The GC is CNC machined on a new 2017 machine costing over half million dollars. The build and CNC machining is excellent but I did find the polishing slightly disappointing. Mirror finish polishing takes time and effort so given the very reasonable price of approx £60 RR can easily be forgiven. When buying new you also have a choice of handles.

Loaded with a Pol-silver the GC delivered a fabulous smooth and efficient shave. For the daily shaving of medium dense stubble the RR Gamechanger is a razor I can highly recommend.

Specs HERE

Note: The new style GC now has a slot down the centre of the base plate so once assembled it looks identical to the Wolfman.

My experience matches James’ above, the polishing is not great but you do get a lot of razor for your money.
GC blade exposure:
Is that the Razorock barber pole handle? I wish they sold them separately.
