Having read a good review of the follow up - which said the original was better, I downloaded the first one from Amazon. Not for my taste unfortunately and I'd rate it no higher than 3 out of 10.

I was expecting a bit more from both of them, and if the first one was not to your taste, then you are not missing out by not seeing the second one.

No Country for Old Men.

Having watched it on Sunday, still not really to sure what to make of it. Some powerful performances.

Watched John Wick at the weekend as well, rather enjoyed it but I had been told it was a shoot em up, Die Hard clone. Brainless but fun.

Hacksaw Ridge - having read a brief synopsis of what the film was about, it was totally predictable thereafter. Another heroic war film with nothing much to separate it from the pack other than the fact that it was a true story.

Logan - Wolverine and Prof X on the decline... still trying to digest this one, not sure what to make of it. - it wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. One day we have the X-Men, then they're all dead and we're never really given any great amount of detail as to why.

Not my choice but Son is mad daft on cars and loves the franchise.
To be honest as entertainment, it is good fun, but so far fetched it is almost fantasy.

Thought Logan was really good.
Just got back from seeing Life, was good but missing something I can't put my finger on.
Maybe because it was nothing new, just a mash up of many previous films
