Mate,Went with a Wizamet blade after a couple days of not shaving. Worked like a charm in the Copper D-back. Equally as smooth as the Feather with near the same cutting ability. The head design of the D-back does contribute significantly with the very little change in blade feel between the aforementioned razors. The weight is also a big factor as very little pressure if any is required from the user in getting the Copper version to perform on par with the Titanium though the Ti alloy is much easier to maneuver and offers better overall balance. They both shave very well and offer a nice dynamic in shave feel yet still achieving near identical results.

Taken from the website: " Machining is complete, and the razors are now going out for high gloss polishing. No sealant is being used, so the razors will add a patina over time. Pics will be added when they are polished, but even as-machined, they are looking good."Mate,
There is only one thing that does bother me, maintaining this beaut going forward. I'm not a metal genius but is the Diamondback C plated with some sort of rose gold etc. or is it just copper polished? Looks stunning.
Renaissance wax is your friendMate,

Thanks Mate.Taken from the website: " Machining is complete, and the razors are now going out for high gloss polishing. No sealant is being used, so the razors will add a patina over time. Pics will be added when they are polished, but even as-machined, they are looking good."

Congrats. I think you will enjoy it. It's as good as the Ti version & arguably perhaps better. I'm leaning towards the latter honestly.it looks like I just snapped up the last Copper Diamondback..![]()
so, what is the deal with the Renaissance wax? is it an apply once and forget type of thing?Renaissance wax is your friend
I’ll be honest it was some time ago.so, what is the deal with the Renaissance wax? is it an apply once and forget type of thing?
so, seeing that it is used by museums, I take it that it has no detrimental effect on the finish..I’ll be honest it was some time ago.
From memory it lasts quite a while before needing reapplication. It’s really good, you’ll see it recommended elsewhere
From what I recall from years ago it was used by SR shavers to help prevent rust starting on the blade. I doubt that it has a detrimental effect on finishes.so, seeing that it is used by museums, I take it that it has no detrimental effect on the finish..
