I hope this may be of interest. I find the scale/size at which this gent produces pieces to be amazing.

Thanks for sharing. Nothing but admiration for model engineering like that. Those are probably working locos too that could pull passengers. From what he said, the GP9 (the red diesel) will be doing just that.

Wish I had met him on either of my trips to the Island! A place, incidentally, I loved.

Thanks for posting this Toby. The presenters’ reactions were understandable, given they were not railway/railroad modellers. What did surprise me, was that the layout is German prototype and not US, considering the location.

I’m starting work on a new layout project It’s based around a layout given to me by a friend. It was originally a ‘light railway’ based in Yorkshire* but after he stripped it down to bare track and boards, I am “relocating” it to Fife in Scotland, in the area from which Mrs P hails.

The electrics have sorted out for me by 2 members of the group to which I belong, including it’s original builder. Sparks are way out of my comfort zone!

Today I’ve been looking at how the layout could operate, by placing stock around it.
