I didn’t drive the car over the weekend because of the warning light. I moved it off the driveway yesterday morning, but the light didn’t come on. I drove it for the rest of the day and still no warning light. Took it out again this morning…no warning light. I can’t find anything online to explain the behaviour of the warning light. I can only surmise that it could be due to all the wet weather with tropical-like downpours we’ve been having causing a sensor malfunction; if that makes sense. Of course the Audi dealership won’t comment without first inspecting the car…at great expense to me naturally.
Seems to be a common subject on Audi forums, usually without resolution.

A week and a half ago I figured, let me call the doctor for prescription refills. Easy peasy, right? But, they don’t answer the effing phone! The voice said, “We don’t give a rat’s ass. It’s faster to just use the app, shmuck.” So I went to the app. The app said you’re piss out of luck dillweed, call the office. I tried, BUT THEY DIDN’T ANSWER THE EFFING PHONE!!! So the other day I went into my pharmacy, explained what the eff was not happening, and the nice man asked, “Would you like me to call the doctor for you?” Please and thank you, kind sir…

Well, this morning my phone rings. It’s the doctor’s office. The young lady said, “The doctor won’t fill your refill request.” I said, “I know.” “Would you like an appointment?“ she asked. ”Yes, please, and thank you very much. That’s what I’ve been trying to do for a week and a half…” and I proceeded to explain how I first tried calling, used the app, had the pharmacy get involved, and boy was I pleased that I’d be getting this taken care of once and for all. “Oh,” she said. “I can’t schedule for you. I was calling to tell you that the doctor won’t refill your request and that you need an appointment. I’ll have one of the girls from scheduling call you. Stay by your phone.”

That was at 11 AM. It’s now 8:30 PM. Nobody called. The app is still giving me the finger, the office is closed and I have neither appointment nor prescription.

20 minutes ago, as I was typing something in the app similar to the above, directly to my doctor just to keep him in the effing loop… wouldn’t you know, I got an effing error message… Sorry Moron, we’re having technical difficulties. Please try again later or call the office during regular business hours.

You could move to the UK.

We have exactly the same problems with doctors / receptionists / hospital appointments / NHS apps

Medical people complain they are underfunded / understaffed ...... Government just talk about how much money they have put into the medical system

Sound familiar ? 🤦‍♂️ :cursing:

Must admit that the phone system at my docs is a mess, it takes a long time to go through all the pre recorded messages and warnings and then you wait in line, and then give up 20 minutes later.

However, they have a messaging email type system called Patches which is brilliant. I write down all the symptoms and what could have caused it, I leave my number and email and the doc calls or writes, nine times out of ten it is solved with a prescription to the pharmacy and they deliver it, sometimes within the hour

You could move to Canada and have similar problems here too. I don't think it is confined to one country or the type of health care delivery system. Seems everyone's health care system is struggling for the moment dealing with a myriad of problems. Knowing that does not help when you are dealing with said problems though.

My local docs is pretty good, you can book appointments via the NHS app, can generally get through by phone if you don't need an appointment that day and are ringing the instant they open, or you can drop in and make one at reception.

I think a large part of the problem in the UK is the number of people who turn up at the doctor or at A&E when they really shouldn't be there.

This is our Patches. She too, was brilliant. It was fascinating to observe. She was innately tied into the environment around her, no matter where we were. When we were out for our marathon walks I could always tell by her body language that she felt alive, sensing (however dogs sense) her immediate and the beyond environs. As for people, unless you had a biscuit to share, Patches was only interested in her family. She was our first rescue.

Ordered a thing yesterday, paid for next day delivery. The seller has done their bit and got it despatched yesterday. This morning DPD have emailed to say that the parcel "has been delayed and will be on its way shortly". Given that it's still 250 miles away I think I can take that to mean that it'll be tomorrow. Having paid extra for it to be delivered next day to say that I'm annoyed is putting it mildly, but there's no point complaining to the seller because it's not their fault and there's no point complaining to DPD because they won't give a shite. :cursing:

Complain to the seller. They are the one who you have a sales contract with. They then have to complain to DPD as they have the sales contract with them and can claim the premium back and then pass on to you.

Having avoided Hospital visits for years, due to ill health my wife and I have had a few Appointments with Consultants. The main bugbear is parking. I have used Taxi & Buses, the former works out quite expensive and the latter impractical as services have been drastically reduced.
Solution, drive there early at least an hour before the appointment and hope to find a parking spot.

I agree,, parking is an issue in hospitals, the bays also seem very mean and there is always the thought that the car will be dented by others doors. I bite the bullet and get a taxi, perhaps do half and half. Drive somewhere ok and get a taxi from the half way point?

Perhaps ask a friend or neighbour for a lift in return for 'I owe you one'.
