Twenty minutes may have been an exaggeration, it just feels like a long time when you’re waiting for it. It seems to be universal, apparently some people are too stupid not to open the door while it’s still running so rather than let natural selection take its course the rest of us must be punished.

Yes, the door will definitely not unlock unless the machine has stopped. The door on my washer will open immediately after it has stopped.

It likely depends on the temperature the laundry was being washed on as well - it quite likely has to cool down a little if it had been washed above 30 or 40, and they probably leave a bit of time for water to drain a bit more in case someone would stuff it with things that aren't very water permeable.

I think that many washing machines have settings which can be adjusted, mine is also on zero, is it something to do with being child friendly? Not sure why child friendliness is related to having to wait a long time after the machine has finished its cycle.

Probably a sensor or the wiring going to it.The Sport Differential warning light came on in my Audi S5, which means there’s a malfunction with a component of the all wheel drive system, AND $$$$.

A friend had an Audi TT that wouldn't select anything other than second in its auto box, he was pricing up replacement boxes that were almost as much as the cars value, an oil and filter change in the box fixed the problem for £250
As Toby suggests, there are four sensors on the diff and they are known to fail.

Not having a good day
I was really messed around by our motor insurers trying to change the cover to a new car, no idea why they wanted more money when the new car is in a lower insurance group. Anyways paid the additional premium. Asked for the certificate, the garage needed it to collect the car on Friday, said they couldn't do it because their system was having an upgrade, would take till 2025 for an email cert but could put a paper one in the mail. I asked the obvious question but some twerp at the insurers couldn't seem to get the idea. Mrs Vac tore a strip off me because it was my fault., So that row will continue no doubt when/if she comes home.
Then some neighbours invited me round, Pool 'n' Pool. they have a swimming pool and a pool table in a sort of man cave, I played 10 frames of pool at £10 a frame and lost all of them, I am not that bad a player, I have been known to clear a table from a break but not today.
Came home and a fountain pen that was my fathers and had been with a certain Edinburgh restorer for some work came back in the post after 11 weeks and was at least as bad as when it was sent to him, he still kept the money.
Definitely not buying a lottery ticket today.

I didn’t drive the car over the weekend because of the warning light. I moved it off the driveway yesterday morning, but the light didn’t come on. I drove it for the rest of the day and still no warning light. Took it out again this morning…no warning light. I can’t find anything online to explain the behaviour of the warning light. I can only surmise that it could be due to all the wet weather with tropical-like downpours we’ve been having causing a sensor malfunction; if that makes sense. Intermittent warning lights are a little bit like an ex wife, they are not there but remain difficult to forget about.
The good news is that failed diffs in an Audi are a rare bird, erratic warning lights not so much.
