Ordered a Diamond and Sapphire ring for my wife for her birthday. First one came and it had a footprint on the package, on opening the box was crushed and the ring bent. So it went back and refund issued, didn’t reorder as no stock. Spent a bit more and ordered another “in stock” ring. Then I get a message saying it’s out of stock and a six week wait ! That’s no good as my wife’s birthday is before that. I can’t stand it when you order something in stock and it isn’t so thats been cancelled and refunded. Can I find another suitable ring with in what I want and know she wants ? No ! So proper miffed.

After 2 hour session with Doctor at Dementia clinic, she made a number of suggestions regarding treatment for my wife which were to be forwarded to our Practice so that they arrange a meeting to discuss what medication needed to be prescribed etc.
Practice got letter and suggested by text we get in touch for telephone consultation. Hardly what was expected, as my wife really needs face to face consult with me as chaperone.
Visited Practice and explained scenario, and offered meet at end July!! Explained that this was not good enough for someone who had been SRN/ Midwife for 30 + years, and after a long wait got appointment for 4th July. Worthwhile going to practice and keeping cool, as never would have solved the issue via phone.

Sadly, these days one has to advocate assertively in order to receive the appropriate attention and care. Good for you.

Bloody idiot who pulled out on me is lucky the dash cam date was wrong. Driving along bang on 40in a 40. Approach a junction with the give way on their road so they should wait to join road when it’s clear. Driver comes up to the junction and comes out straight in front, no stopping at junction. I beep the horn and have to slow sharp . Gets up to a roundabout and he has a pop at me. Said I was doing 50 ! Get home and double check and yes I was doing 40 he just misjudged. He even said when having a pop he thought he could make it. Pee’s me off, just a sorry would have done, we all make mistakes, but how we deal with that is the main thing.

We were always taught to try avoiding driving on flat tires. Bad for the rim. Run flat tires clearly go against that advice.

They aren't bad for the rim, but essentially make the tyres disposable if they are driven on for any significant distance.

For the next three weeks at least my route to work and back involves two very long diversions because every other route either has a road closed or roadworks causing massive tailbacks. Why can't these people work together and plan things to reduce disruption? Maybe don't dig up all the roads at the same time?

This is Cumbria, it's not like we have a lot of alternatives.

Why can't these people work together and plan things to reduce disruption? Maybe don't dig up all the roads at the same time?

This is Cumbria, it's not like we have a lot of alternatives.

We had months of temporary traffic lights while they added traffic lights and did some lane change work. Depending on when you left it could add 10-15 minutes to a 20 minute journey home.
