Yes, my 2021 Subaru Forester has the auto on headlight feature selected on the control stock. I do use it but annoyingly it can be turned off by an accidental twist on the control stock. I'd rather have it as the default setting at start up. Conversely, the auto start/stop for the engine is a default setting at start up and needs to be cancelled every time you start the car if you despise that setting which I do. It's hard to configure a new car to your personal preferences these days.

This wasn’t even what I would call casual dress. They looked just plain sloppy and unkempt. I wear what they were wearing when I’m gardening.
I still own 2 dark suits, a blue blazer, a dark brown hopsack sports coat, and 2unstructured sports coats (one khaki and one blue) for travel. I also have a dinner suit fir black tie events. Needless to say, I have a number of dress shirts (some with French cuffs) and several pairs of casual trousers to wear with my sports coats and blazer. I’ve been retired for 16 years and still have plenty if opportunities to wear the foregoing. I must say though that I wear my suits mostly for weddings and funerals, especially the latter these days.
Gardening clothes, by your description, are what I wear at home and while out. I can't remember that last time I was at a wedding or funeral never mind a black-tie event. I guess it boils down to different lifestyles.
