Had my first shave with my (2nd hand) MS 30mm 2 band finest today.
Have to say I've been pretty blown away by the quality of the knot.
It had two shaves under it's belt when it got to me and I gave it a good soak and a wash (palm lather) with Baby shampoo, I gave it a pretty vigorous lathering on my palm and the hairs felt great. I gave it a towel dry and finished with a good brush before leaving on the window sill for 24h. Not a single hair came out in this time.
First shave went really well. Great backbone, soft tips, perfect shape to the bulb. It lathered well and no dissipating issues.
I now have the 24mm 2 band and 30mm silvertip on the way.
The knot quality at the price point is outstanding.
In fact the knot is pretty outstanding regardless of price!

I had some other issues come up that prevented me from posting a picture of the 24mm Extra Density Atlanta Butterscotches that I ordered during the free shipping.
The brushes are beautiful, but for myself, I found the density not to be what I expected. I don't have these in the non-extra density for the Atlanta handle, but I have 2 30mm Masetos, and I find those more enjoyable in terms of the density they have, and find them to have more density, honestly. I find the hair quality to be the same as the 30mm Masetos that I have, and I have been gravitating heavily towards larger brushes of late, so that could be part of my reason for my disappointment. I'm sure when they make some of the extra density 30mm knots available I'll jump on those to try those, but for me in recommending between the 24mm Extra Density and the regular density 30mm Maseto, I would much rather put my bid behind the 30mm Masetos.

I think this is the variance amongst MS compared to others. The larger 30mm is sufficient being a wide width with less density. Others such as Shavemac, Paladin, M&F etc I find to have the same density as the 30mm MS when averaging 26mm width. A Shavemac at 30mm is much much more dense without hogging lather, but still overkill IMO. If MS bring out an extra dense 30mm they will have to be careful with lather flow.

I have two of the MS 30mm XD 2-Band knots and they are extremely dense, but I don't find the lather flow an issue, whatsoever. However, most of my brushes have very large knots, so I have quite a bit of experience using these larger knots.
That is great news Celestino. Do you prefer the higher density knots in 30mm over the standard? Knot size and density can’t be seen in isolation from loft, now, can it? Seems to me that Nick sets all knot sizes with the same loft? That would mean that if the 30mm is about right, the 24 will feel floppy and/or less dense? Counter to this theory is the fact that several in here are quite pleased with their 24 Masetos, meaning they aren’t floppy...
But anyway, by the same theory, XD 30 knots, if set a little higher than the regulars, shouldn’t have problem with flow through. As he confirms above. So what’s the loft on yours, Celestino?

My Maseto lost about 15 hairs per shave, so after seeing that the thing did not stop, I contacted the seller and his response was: "sorry for the inconvenience, I'll send you another one tomorrow"
Today has arrived, just like the previous (24x52), although the light brown color is gray now, I like it more
A couple of washes and two palm lather test and it has not lost a single hair.
The feeling in the hand is that the hair is significantly better and the density is the same as the previous one, quite low for my taste

I have a 2 band from them, barberpole handle imitating horn (they call them 'Memphis' if I recall correctly).
Backbone and density are on the high side (significantly more than my SOC 2 band), giving a very nice scrub on the face, with no scritch.
What I found interesting were the actual dimensions of the knot. The specs from the ebay page mention 24mm knot with 54mm loft. I measured 50mm for the loft and about 26mm on the base. I suspect the knot may be a true 24mm, but mounted quite low in the handle.
Overall, this brush is a happy medium for me, between the softness of badger hair with and the scrub and backbone of a good boar. The face feel is very nice and quite unique, so as far as I'm concerned this one is a keeper.
I have another 24mm coming in (same model, black handle), so I'm curious to see how much variance there is in those brushes (if any).

I’ve been waiting to see if Maseto will ever re-stock Memphis extra-density in 26mm (or larger), but seems a lost cause.

Anybody else experience shedding with their Maseto brush?
My 30mm fan arrived earlier this week and shed 20+ hairs on the first use. And now averages 8-12 lost hairs per use. And hairs are falling out when you run your fingers over the top of the dry knot.
I've never had this much shedding (even in my densest chubby brushes). Was I unlucky?
