I shave 7 days a week and fortunately I am good with it . I like it most with a Gillette platinum or VoskhodI personally find the 1.18mm a little too aggressive for daily use, I'm waiting for my 0.90mm to arrive.

For me the Start is slightly smoother, less blade feel than Nodachi but the Nodachi is significantly more efficient. When I put the Masamune SB plate with the Nodachi top cap it compares quite closely to the 1.18How this razor compares to the Tatara masamune or nadachi? Thanks.
I have it in 'matte'. The coating is thick enough to make the baseplate and top cap stick together really quite well if there's no blade in the head. Almost asked for a replacement. But then it at least holds together when it's in the razor box.Has anyone tried the .90 open-comb head?
Then again, I wish I the chance to try this razor before buying one![]()
Honestly, I'm not really sure. Some time between 1 and 3 weeks, I think. How long did it take to arrive, slapo ?
Mine took nine days and that involved Christmas post, too.How long did it take to arrive, slapo ?
That's not good, I was tempted by a matt one myself. Knowing that it's coated puts me off and I'd likely go for a different finish.I have it in 'matte'. The coating is thick enough to make the baseplate and top cap stick together really quite well if there's no blade in the head.
Mine arrived in a similar way. It's loosening up now after just three uses. I've had the polished version and prefer the satin finish. That's not good, I was tempted by a matt one myself. Knowing that it's coated puts me off and I'd likely go for a different finish.
I would have thought they'd have just bead-blasted it. I admit that my concerns over coated razors are probably unfounded but I'd really prefer bare steel.Mine arrived in a similar way. It's loosening up now after just three uses. I've had the polished version and prefer the satin finish.
I wanted to go for the sandblasted one, but I haven't seen a matching top cap in the store, so I went for the satin one. Perhaps the sandblasted one and the satin one would go well together, though. That's not good, I was tempted by a matt one myself. I want a stand, but there's no satin, only polished or sandblasted. I watched Kevy's video on youtube and subscribed to it. He seems to really like the 1.18 head, Like butter he said. Yeah, I am interestedThe 1.18 is amazing and can be use as a daily razor
