Every real man knows a male is to remove his hat indoors out of respect, if they do not, knock it off and let them deal with the consequences of their actions.

All I know is that if you enter a Canadian military mess without removing your headgear you have just bought a round for the members present. The exception to that is if you have your traditional style religion dictated headgear on.
