Tilley is a Canadian brand. They used to make their hats, etc in Canada, but since Alex Tilley sold the company I don’t know where their goods are made. I still have one of their original sailing hats made of cotton canvas which I bought in 1986; it is excellent condition. I’ll post a photo of it later.

but I rarely wear them, except when I’m gardening or doing housework, in order to keep my hair out of the way.

I do now have a woolly hat that Mrs P bought me for Xmas.

Beanie when it’s cold, Buff when it’s sunny and a boonie hat for when it’s really hot and I need a brim. I really do not suit a baseball cap.
