I made order #1XX9 of a Horizon machined head a long time ago (6/28). The site said (and still says) available 6/26 at 12.00.
It seems something is strangely wrong here.
I received an order confirmation immediately after order.
Since then I’ve written messages via their contact form, multiple mails and Instagram DM’s about the expected shipping of my order since nothing has happened; and the site doesn't provide any information about production time or anything.
I have received no response whatsoever to any of my multiple attempt to contact.
My money have been withdrawn from my card and a comfirmation mail came right after the order, so clearly the order went through.
This is totally unsatisfactory. The products was offered as available on their site when I ordered.

Why this ghosting and lack of response has happened is unknown to me.

I've cancelled my order and requested a full refund.
I now wonder when and even if I'll receive my full refund.

The 28th is hardly a long time ago, six working days..
He posted that he’s away August (?) time so likely has been swamped with orders.
Granted you’ve had no communication but he’s always come across as a stand up guy and is likely just extremely busy.
You’ve jumped the gun a bit IMHO

Yes the workshop will be closed for the month of August for holidays, a lot of French workplaces grind to a halt in August I believe so I reckon he is swamped with orders along with a launch of a new product.

What he normally is or isn't shouldn't matter for a new customer, just as it doesn't excuse his lack of customer service/response. It's irrelevant.

I'm sorry, but I find that a short message/response would have been kosher. He's had 8 full days to answer. Furthermore I didn't know that I should expect 2-6 weeks delivery for a product listed as 'available'. I also find that it should have been stated in the 'Terms of Sale' section that a 2-6 weeks production time is standard; or even better in the order confirmation.

Instead of a life long fan, customer and brand ambassador with more than 3000-5000 views on SOME pr. week (which would most likely boost his impact and/or sales), his lack of response and misinformation (the 'item available' info) has lost me as a customer.

Anyway. Have an unsurpassed week and stay safe! 🤜💥🤛

Anyone familiar with his website would know that he has ‘stock’ items and those that are made upon an order.

This seems to be an oversight on Augustin’s part, likely due to the rapid expansion of his product range and the constant changes to the website. However, Sig is right — it’s very difficult to find information about delivery times, and this shouldn’t be assumed to be general knowledge. I recall that on the old site, the expected wait times were clearly stated.

I'm slighlty remiss on writing up my experience.

Disclaimer: I like adjustables and AC blades are my favourite blade.
I found the range of adjustment more than sufficient to go from very mild (but actually fairly effective) with a Feather Pro to very punchy, more than I wanted to use, with a Super at 8. The adjustment mechanism isn't as easy to use as a twist like the Progress / Rex Ambassador style but perfectly servicable and I don't mind having to loosen the handle to make that adjustment.

The shaves have been stellar - but that's exactly as I'd expect from a razor using the AC blades that allows one to fine-tune the exposure for each balde / soap / skin or stubble condition (the reason I like adjustables). I found the razor so intuitive with the correct angle obvious and the results just what I'd get from any good AC razor. The only downside is the bulk / mass of the head and razor at 115g (even with the underside of the head hollowed out). Others have compared it to AC razors in their collection and, clearly, it's no skinny super model but if you like high mass razors there are no negatives to the design.

TLDR: I like it and will probably pick one up.

Thought I'd get a few in before passing any comments, stuck to the same setup, not really for consistency I'm just trying to kill off a tub of Stirling for the first time ever!

I have to caveat to this, in that I am not an AC enthusiast. Really that just means I haven't found one that has grabbed me. I have/had a few in the den, Yaqi's, Vector, Hawk, Shield and I'm sure a couple of others, but none have really grabbed me enough to stay in regular rotation.

This though, I like. It's got a nice weight to it and is nimble enough. It's got a bulky head relative to a number of other ACs (looking at you Vector), but there's no issue getting it around the face. I'm more of a GEM user so I didn't think there would be a problem.

The range of exposures is more than enough for my needs. I'm always wary of adjustables that they may not quite get up to the levels I like, no such issue with this. I started at 5 moved straight up to 8 and wound back down to 6/7. This seems to be the sweet spot with a little room to move up should I pick up more than a couple of days growth. I've been using the Feather Professionals (my go to) up until today's where I switched to the ProGuard, more out of interest, and got an equally good finish.

Loading is easy and the adjustment mechanism itself is straight forward, really simple but effective and obviously no small internal workings that can go wrong. I did have a couple of instances where it was a little awkward to get the blade out to dry between shaves, but got it in the end.

I'm going to have a few more goes with it, maybe switch out for a super and proline just to see how it plays, but so far I'm impressed. I realise it's a different format, but it won't topple the Vestige from the top spot in my line up, but I could see myself picking one of these up. It's kind of come at a good time as I was contemplating the La Faulx but I didn't know which plate to get, with this I needn't concern myself.

Final use this Saturday just gone. There really isn't much to add to the previous post. Had a play around with the Super Pro, where I found I had to wind it down a bit, not so much for during the shave as that was still smooth, but I definitely had a slight twinge when I slapped on the AS.

All in all though I thoroughly enjoyed my time with it, the heft is refreshing after the deluge of lightweight contenders and I am seriously contemplating picking one up - assuming Atelier don't bring out that concept razor from a while back of course!
