The corporate media has suddenly discovered that the Chinese virus did come from the lab in Wuhan, after calling everyone who questioned the origin las year as Nazis, bigots, xenophobes, and, or course, racists. Even Lord Fauci agrees.

They didn't want to agree with Trump, on anything, ever, for political reasons.

Russia is a weak sister with an economy the size of Texas, or Italy.
That assertion is far from the reality. Purchasing Power Parity is a better indicator when comparing the relative wealth of countries. Italy is flirting with bankruptcy and will likely crash out of the Euro; Russia has strong financial reserves, one of the few countries that does and operates a traditional economy based on production, like Western countries used to before they embraced hyper financialisation. How many countires design and manufacture their own aircraft, ships, nuclear submarines, nuclear power stations, space rockets, satellites, COVID 19 vaccine?...not many! Russia is also a world leader in many areas of technology and science...don't regurgitate the usual Russia phobia...as much of it is fiction...

There are many interpretations regarding Russia's position in the world. One thing that is indisputable is that Russia is, and always will be, held back economically due to it not having access to year-round ports. It is a land-locked country who's only ocean outlets are frozen during much of the year. All the major powers in the world have year-round access to shipping. Russia doesn't, and never will. It's international position weakens every decade. There are numerous videos on YouTube documenting this. I'm a great admirer of many things Russian, but the $3 trillion economy of Texas matches Russia's. Purchasing power? The rubble has an artificial relationship to the dollar. 48% of Russia's income is derived from oil and gas sales to Europe. The Nordstrom pipeline is Russia's main economic artery, and Germany's fecklessness ensures at least some oil and gas income. You cite the Russian military as a sign of strength. It is a military built of crudely designed and built weaponry. Russia knows it could never compete with the US military, and would therefore have to depend upon its untested nuclear arsenal. As I said, there is much about Russia I admire -- music, dance, artistry, spirituality. But as far as being a world power -- it's a joke.

Your assertion - that Russia will always be held back because of a lack of warm water ports - is facile. The northern sea route is a growing trade artery and it's geography ensure's geostrategic importance as a trade intersection. Russia's international position has been getting stronger for the last several decades by any economic indicator - what economic indicators are you basing your assertion on?' unconscious bias?. Time to wake up and smell the coffee me thinks - there's a new hegemon emerging and it does not whistle dixie or sing rule Brittania. And that emerging hegemon has a strong strategic partnership with Russia. Do you think $'s, €'s or £'s will match the strength of the Ruble or Renminbi after the $ looses it's reserve currency status? As for crudely designed weapons, consider asking someone in the military, any military, what they think of the S400 or S500 missile defence system, that other countries are clamouring for. I admire patriots but don't let patriotism stop you from seeing the profound changes that are happening before your eyes, however unpalatable that maybe to you.

If they don't get to those nuclear subs that they dumped with fuel and reactors still on board, the northern sea route and some important fishing areas will be permanently doomed. They don't yet have a ship that can raise the K-159, they have to build one.

It’s a rather random comment.
But this thread has ran off the rails some time ago sooo...
You don't know how to quote properly, and you should at least peek out from under that rock you live under. This stuff isn't new news.

Got no time for blatant trolls, back in the poof box for you.

I didn’t say anything about the age of the “news” or if it was accurate or not. I said it was random. It is. I’m not trolling. How could anything in this mess of a thread be considered trolling?

Look. You’re trying too hard to find objections to anything I say. I say it was random, and I have to come back (twice) to say that all I said was it was random. It wasn’t even on your comment.
You have issues.
