Eh I’ll edit this, don’t want to cause the thread to be shut down.
Seems to be a sane conversation, I think we're OK.Er, chaps. Can we drop this one before things get out of hand?

I'm not wading in here but lets all be realistic here. Every powerful Government in the World has been developing the same things. Believe me if China ever unleash biological weapons in the theatre of war, America, Russia, us and Europe will not be found wanting in the same weapons to retaliate with.
It killed my stepdad indirectly, NHS Scotland cancelled everything that wasn't Covid including the cancer clinics. To add insult to injury they then wouldn't let us carry him at his funeral. To say something that isn't going to bring the thread down, do I have any doubts about the virus? God no. I lost my Dad and my cousin to it, I wasn't far off being lost myself. I don't give a good goddamn where it came from. I've had neighbours telling me it's from here, it's from there, it's a weapon, it's not real, it's a bad flu etc etc etc. Couldn't care less. All I care about is that I lost people who meant the world to me, and that it was - by far - the most sick I have ever been in my 37-nearly-38 years on this Earth. And that the good people on this Earth deserve not to suffer in that same way.
I remember you saying this in the past and that’s absolutely dreadful mate. I’m so sorry. It’s proof that a lot of things went wrong during all of this.It killed my stepdad indirectly, NHS Scotland cancelled everything that wasn't Covid including the cancer clinics. To add insult to injury they then wouldn't let us carry him at his funeral.
Hopefully when all this dies down to a level where people can meet up in larger groups your family can get together and celebrate his life. Funerals can be horrible dreary things, I’ve told my lot I want to go out with football shirts, jeans trainers No religious clap trap just a few good kick arse tunes. It killed my stepdad indirectly, NHS Scotland cancelled everything that wasn't Covid including the cancer clinics. Each to their own wishes, I've told the Wife if anyone thinks they are coming to mine in jeans and a leather jacket and no tie or Women turning up with skirts up their arses and high bloody wedge heels then they can think again. I'm not having groups of people standing outside the crem smoking and laughing waiting for the hearse to arrive. They only are after the beer and vol au vents so they can stay away.Hopefully when all this dies down to a level where people can meet up in larger groups your family can get together and celebrate his life. Don’t know anyone in my family with a skinny enough arse to wear a short skirt ! LOL ! No smokers in our family too, dad was the only smoker and died of lung cancer. I never wear a tie, I wore one during lockdown for a family friend who’s funeral we were able to attend, but that was the first time in many years. Each to their own wishes, I've told the Wife if anyone thinks they are coming to mine in jeans and a leather jacket and no tie or Women turning up with skirts up their arses and high bloody wedge heels then they can think again. I don't wear a tie either pal but I have a black one for funerals. It's a mark of respect in my eyes. I'm a child of the 60's so I still believe in respect and no diluting of our traditions.Don’t know anyone in my family with a skinny enough arse to wear a short skirt ! LOL !
