Your coffee brewing method

Agree. But it's either that or vending machine Pelican Rouge 'coffee' ! I tried bringing in coffee in a thermos but it just tastes stale after a while....

Devil's alternative, that. But I'm with you on the Pelican Rouge.

What about a pour-over, a small French press or an aeropress?

Saeco Espresso machine at home, DeLonghi burr grinder. Aeropress at work.
I have a Moka pot too, doesn't get used a great deal though. All coffee is good!

What do people think of the Stove Top machines? I'm thinking of getting one that will be for just one or two people.

Personally I like them Rob, I have a 4 cup Bialetti. Which makes 4 small expresso's but I tend to use it to make a nice mug of coffee. I also use a French press just out of laziness more than anything else as the top stove pot makes better coffee imo.

Old brown Java beans from coffee compass.
Bodum Grinder
Aeropress (for 1 or 2 mugs)
Bodum Vacuum Pot for when I have company.

I have a Mokka pot but, since buying the Aeropress, it sits in the back of the cupboard.

I have a few packs of beans from various sources but my goto coffee is the OBJ from coffee compass.

Can't say much about Dorset or the UK market, but http://www.subscriptioncoffee.org/ does tests and reviews of subscription services, most of which also offer one off mail orders I believe.

Couldn't sleep last night. Got up and did some baying instead, ending up with

1. a hand grinder from Hario (at £18, we are talking half price of what I would have to pay at home)

and

2. a fake(?) aeropress kit (again, at $28, way lower than the cost would have been over here)

Because the price is so much lower than anywhere else, I guess, and I thought the original also carries the letters aerobie or aeropress on the side of the sylinder? I'm fine with it being the real deal of course.

No worries, Mr TSFKAR No coffee after six o'clock on my watch, or else I'll be where I was last night. (Not due to coffee then, but various concerns and worries wrt the renovation of our new house, costs, etc.)

I used a moka pot, then a French press but now I mostly use a drip filter funnel thing. low tech but does the job
