I haven't had one of those baked potatoes with sour cream and bacon for many a year, used to have it with a good steak, perfect.Loaded baked potato with chives, sweet onion, shredded cheese, real bacon bits, sour cream, unsalted butter, sea salt, black pepper.
New coffee grinder coming today to replace the 25 year old one. I am turning the old one into a pepper mill and got some peppercorns yesterday. I read you clean your coffee grinder by grinding rice. We shall see!!
Nothing like a good camp fire for baking potatoes.I haven't had one of those baked potatoes with sour cream and bacon for many a year, used to have it with a good steak, perfect.
The potatoes were either Idaho or King Edwards baked spuds that were as big as your hand, you can still buy them but not perhaps at that size. As children we used to take them to church organised bonfires and an adult used to put them into the bottom of the fire for us for an hour or two, we just had butter and then the vicar would come around to all the children with parkin and ginger beer.
For those away from these shores parkin is a ginger cake, quite sticky, popular with old fools like me around this time of year
