Cast-iron ribeye and onions this evening, with leftover potato salad from the deli.

For Sunday we are sharing a large thick cut beef tenderloin done on a cast iron skillet to med rare. There will be baked/jacket spuds and a veg. Can't forget the sour cream or butter to go with the spuds.

It was just a great steak to start with. Had to cut it in half to fit the pot.

Oil, bay, and garlic to start, butter to finish. Tipped a whole onion into the pot and deglazed with wine. We usually attack our steaks too quickly but this one was able to rest because I was fussing with the onions.

Just picked up a huge potato for baking later for supper.

Tried some DeCecco pasta tonight. Enjoyed it. The thing that really caught my eye was the size increase on cooking. A normal portion size really lifted up. Took a photo to try and show the change but, translated over a bowl, it made a huge difference.
