What's the dinner tonight?

My Doctor would disagree with you. Aged 67, 11 stone 5lb 5ft 10", my blood pressure and BMI are perfect, I take no medication, I know most of it is genetic, lifestyle choice is one of the biggest factors. I have always been an active person, and I tend to choose and eat healthy food.

Tonight we are having the leftovers from yesterday's pasta and meat sauce meal. Microwave ovens do come in handy when dealing with leftovers.

She is an excellent baker but I cook the meals. I enjoy cooking generally but not baking. It works out well

No hob or oven on tonight. Opened a jar of chick peas and made some hummus - blitzed with sun dried tomatoes.
Open Sandwich;
Whole grain sourdough slathered with hummus on a bed of chopped watercress with some salad bits and bobs, walnuts and a drizzle of cold pressed virgin olive oil.

Too hot for sausages.

Decided to go down to the town where there is a pannier market. They stay open and there is a couple of takeaway places and a Wine and Beer shop. This shop is licensed and you can sit in the old pannier and enjoy a drink. Lovely and cool there and it has a nice vibe to it, nice mellow music. No loud music and the clientele are older. I had a stein of Utopian Larger, brewed a few miles down the road. To eat it was a Fajita share meal, best Fajitas I have ever had.

Saturday's dinner will be a meatloaf with mashed spuds seasoned with Wasabi paste and a veg. Also HP sauce to go with the meatloaf.
