No, good burgers, and rice and black eyed peas. The can said field peas and snaps, but these were definitely black eyed peas.

It was absolutely delicious, but it’s got so much going on I wasn’t going to try to explain. I didn’t understand it myself. It DOES look messy.
The wife was feeling creative.
She made a gorgeous puréed soup of cellery, homemade chicken stock, and heavy cream, then she roasted chicken breasts in it. Lots of butter. She also crisped green beans in oil and salt&pepper in the oven, then folded them into orzo pasta with a sauce of several different soft cheeses, cream, butter, etc.
Fresh salad of shaved rainbow carrots with tomato, goat cheese, walnuts, balsamic, etc.
Leftover roasted broccoli in cheese sauce from last night.

Roadkill sounds bloody spot on, I've seen too many animals roadkill when I was a kid.
Roadkill looks absolutely gross, but, when you look at from a different angle, it looks absolutely bloody brilliant.
