What triggers a soap purchase

Shaving for me is a hobby so scents is the key word. I wouldn't buy any of my favorites soaps in the unscented version..... even if they were free. Somebody might review a soap and the scent description might trigger a purchase for me......equally , I can't use a soap with s scent that doesn't quite do it for me..... I have a PAA soap, one of my favorites soaps, that I use to clean the windscreen of my car because I can't shave with a soap that has that scent.
performance is a bonus. In the beginning slickness was a top priority because technique needed further development.

Mike's a good choice too, as well as A&E. I forgot to tell you about Sudsy Soapery soap. With tallow.

No bad mouthing for me mate. I love it that much I asked @Rowlers Dad to turn me a nice wooden lid for mine. Which he did using English Oak and it looks awesome.

Yes, I tried this method, but almost always ended up with crappy scents especially with the US artisans @Rowlers .

Why is it so difficult for someone to make something that doesn't stink??

I don't use Tallow , but I guess it is tricky to make an unscented soap with Tallow as the raw material smells terrible in it's raw form.

I like the scent of Tabac it's the intensity I have a problem with, I wish they made Tabac Light. Or @Wayne's citrus version.

Tabac's not the only offender, a few soap makers go too heavy on the scent and spoil it.

It‘s true. A good tallow based lavender soap is something I suddenly can‘t bare to live without.

I know many have said this but if only Tabac would make that awesome base in a lovely Citrus I’d never want anything else.
