What mobile phone are you using? What is your most used app?

Google Pixel 5" Blue 32gb. If shopping, the 5.5" is not much bigger but frequently backordered.

For Apps, most used last week were mSecure (password manager) and Parking Meter (on-line payments). Some day I would like to master Google Assistant.

I would like you to review this phone when you have a chance. I'm interested in he Pixel, but don't really trust the YouTube reviews. Thanks.

How do these two things go together? Only @Nishy would pair phones and soap. iPhone 6S, Fitjar Islands.

Quick Pixel review - I came from iPhone 6s (6, 5s, 5, 4s, etc). Home phone is Android device
- I have the 5" Blue phone which is blue on the back and Simpson Ivory on the front - other Pixels same color (better)
- very easy to transfer contacts/photos/music from iPhone, cables included and part of new phone setup, worked !!
- fingerprint scanner on back of phone. Effective, quick response, easy to use
- camera seems excellent. Any photo on ATG in last 30 days from Pixel
- free storage in Cloud of photos, can download, makes 32gb model better
- no trouble with my favorite apps (mail setup, contacts, password manager, allergy, news, etc)
- nice screen, nice size, nice speed/response, headphone jack,
- already had some Android updates (love pure Android)
- received the VR headset free - should be fun with games around the family holidays
- I easily get 2 days of battery life with moderate use (better than my iPhone 6s)

Negatives or other comments
- I had 3 contact lists (Yahoo, Google, Apple), should have spent more time to synch
- I would buy again, possibly 5.5" Black this time (not much bigger and not shaving brush color on front)
- top half of back side is fingerprint magnet (no case)
- issue transferring my ringtones (should have done in setup process)
- need to get backup app, I did like the iTunes backup

Thanks from me too, the Pixel peaked my interest.

Currently using an iPhone 7 but suffering from the antenna/signal issue affecting Three customers so considered swapping out until we see what the iPhone 8 is supposed to do.

I was impressed how well the messages, contacts, photo's, etc. transferred from my iPhone 6s. I did not transfer music - wished now I had. Slight learning curve but not bad. I need to use the Google Assistant more and other new features. Like you, I may look at the iPhone 8.

Hi @Batch300

Can I ask a question I'm having trouble finding an answer to online..

Can you use Google Assistant to play music stored on the actual phone?

From my searches it seems it may play from either Google Play Music, or Spotify or other apps, but it won't play music saved on the pixel. Is that right?

I use Siri a fair bit for hands free music control and to not be able to do that without an online subscription might be a deal breaker.

Any updates on experiences? Regrets? Minuses?

Thanks in advance.

Mike
